My 2007 frame had nuts welded inside the frame and the bumper bolted on outside. My mechanic just informed me that my frame (2004 Colorado 5 cy Z71 4X4 - 258,000 miles) is rusted. His comment was "I wouldn't let anybody else drive it". I guess I will talk to dealer or body shop to see what the repair cost would be, if repair is possible. I pressure washed the heck out of the bottom for an hour.
